Exactly One year ago we decided to switch gears from selling Baby Bibdanas to focusing our efforts in selling Cotton Based Face masks.
The idea was decided when there was a shortage of PPE. During March, I decided to create prototypes with what I had in stock and testing them out until I was happy with the final sample.
It was extremely hard to get trims and other items that were seemingly a staple in the fashion world. I first started off with creating masks for adults and then with kids as there were more and more parents requesting this.
I sold on different platforms and was pretty surprised when I ended up as Best Seller on Etsy. Competition Is fierce in that market as lots of times, it’s price driven. I also think it’s all about timing as I came in as an emerging player in the area. In fashion if you get on the bandwagon during an emerging trend, it’s a good thing.
During that time, I had gone through several changes in terms of construction design, designing my own print, revamped my website, great support system from family & friends who believed in me and what I put out there. There were Recommendations through word of mouth. All of that means a lot ❤️.
The best thing was seeing clients wearing them but wearing them because they wanted to keep themselves and other people around them safe.
With vaccinations more readily available now, it’s great news that we can move forward and eventually combat this to eventually return to normalcy.
I want to take this time to THANK YOU for supporting my small shop whether it’s purchasing, word of mouth, testimonials and photos, etc.
God has blessed me with this opportunity. Nothing is ever permanent. All I can do is take it all in and cherish those moments.
