This Small Business Saturday, we are reflecting on the past 62 years in business serving the Big and Tall man. Our founder, Toufic Hajjar, immigrated from Lebanon in search of the American Dream. With the help of his family, Toufic opened Hajjar's Clothing store in 1960 near the Quincy Massachusetts shipyard and outfitted the men who were hard at work building ships. Toufic noticed a need for clothing to fit bigger and taller men, and he began carrying those sizes. Customers came from near and far to take advantage of the custom sizes as there were few options at that time for them. In 1972, the Hajjar family opened their current location in Quincy. Hajjar's is still family run, now by Toufic's son Steven and his children, and continues to pride themselves on providing a personalized shopping experience and look forward to outfitting the Big and Tall man for years to come!
