Our son Brody was born via IUI on April 28, 2009. It took us nine years before we were able to have our second son, Tripp, via IVF on May 22, 2018. Twenty-two months later we welcomed our caboose baby, our one and only girl, Brett, via IVF on March 27, 2020. They are our entire world! When I'm not spending time with either of them you can most likely find me sewing or crocheting. I started crochet
ing at the age of 33. I was doing photography as a hobby and needed props for my newborns. I had no idea how obsessive and therapeutic crocheting would be for me. I don't feel that I'm a creative person, however when it comes to crocheting it seems anything is possible for me. I absolutely love it and I believe it shows in my projects. I have found there is never enough yarn to be had. Just when I think I've gotten all the yarn I'll ever need...something else catches my eye! I taught myself to sew in April of 2016 at the age of 34! This hobby stemmed from my need to sew a liner onto a crocheted blanket I made for my son and decided to learn how to do it myself! My mother handed down to me her sewing machine and cabinet she purchased in 1983 and as soon as I got it I started watching YouTube tutorials and I was hooked. I made a dinner napkin first, then an apron for my 2yr old niece...and the rest is documented here! I'm totally hooked! In the summer of 2020, I had the pleasure of being invited to be on the pattern testing team for Little Lizard King Sewing Patterns. Since then I have also joined the testing teams for Vintage Little Lady, Made for Mermaids, Patterns for Pirates, and Peony Patterns! I'm so happy to be part of their teams and appreciate the fact that it keeps me sewing beautiful garments for my daughter, myself, and my family.
