One of my most faithful and dearest friends jumped at the opportunity to be order #1 for me last week when I launched my Shopify. Of course she did. That’s who she is. She’s there for you on the worst and best days of your life.

But then, I was holding her 20 year-old Bible, struck by God‘s faithfulness to her through this warn Bible. This Bible is a testament of her faith, but more so God‘s unchanging character.

Was the same not true for me? But so often I tell myself lies that the promises of God are exempt for me. Silly, I know.

So as I stitched her cover custom to her Bible. I prayed and thought about the slow steadfastness of the woman who made the antique quilt. A quilt that beautiful was not made overnight. It probably saw joys and hardships before it was even completed and infinitely more after completion.

So I finished. Now I sit and think about how God has shown His grace and providence through this one friend, how much more does He want to show me who He is with His Word?
