Feel empowered and stylish with this easy to make head wrap. Free "pattern"(just recreate pictured template according to shown measurements). I made this headscarf by repurposing a piece of a shapeless garment. When sewing the back seam adjust to your head size since this won't be adjustable after it's sewn. After sewing the back seam and hemming the triangular part you will gather up around the back seam and sew the gathers secure, see last image.

"Thoughts & Prayers" has gotten a bad rap lately. Yes action is important AND thoughts and prayers are too.

When prayer works, it's not because there's a dude in the sky granting favors to people who obey church dogma. Prayer works because YOU are powerful. I am powerful. It's how the universe works. Our thoughts and words are powerful and creative. When combined with heartfelt intention and emotion they have an effect on the universal field. This has been demonstrated scientifically with partical wave theory in quantum physics. When scientists observe energy waves using sophisticated equipment, the energy forms into particals. When they aren't actively looking the energy diffuses back into waves. (I assume they were recording the behavior or how would you know). If just observing something is THAT creative, then what can we achieve when we hold intention for what we wish to create? When we have the impression that prayer isn't working, there is just too much formative energy holding together the thing we intended to avert. Think on this and what you/we can do with our power, and let's turn our observation & intention away from separation, hate, exclusion and not- enoughness to unity, love, and inclusion and abundance. Yes, the world does need your "thoughts & prayers" as well as your actions.

First thing this morning before I even got dressed I grabbed my croquis pad and sketched out a dress I saw my cousin Taleigh wearing in a dream. It was a sweater dress in a jewel tone tweedy yarn with colors of red, orange and deep pink.

I was reminded of how, as a girl, I had wanted to go to fashion design school but had had it drilled in to me that pursuing that dream was foolish and impractical. This was psychological abuse.

Young people, let me tell you, no matter what you do in this life there are going to be struggles. So pick something that you have a passion and aptitude for. Your passion will sustain you and you won't be going on 60 years of age regretting your choice. If they tell you that you can't, tell them "fuuuuuck you!"
