That’s a wrap on the 2026 Dogsmile Adventures upcycled sail totes. I lost track at 50 something. The last one….well it’s mine! They are so nice and my other tote was just too small. Added some pockets inside. You can get yours this weekend at Matchwood Brewing in SandPoint Idaho. Sat 5-8 pm.

This coming Saturday in Sandpoint ID we will be supporting Sail-a-Palooza event from 5-8 pm at Matchwood Brewing. I’m so proud of the work we did for them! It was a family affair with all adding to production! We have made 55 bags in the time leading up to the event. These bags are are all unique and made with fabric from Dogsmile, Mahana, and the Capri boats that have all contributed to the Dogsmile mission. You can only get them at the event! Come support therapeutic sailing in N Idaho and buy a REALLY COOL BAG.

Last year these hand cut and sewn tote bags made from Dogsmile sails were gone in 15 min. This year we are upping our production, we’ve cut 3 J105 sails and 2 Mahana laminate sails to produce 40 bags (so far and we have weeks left to produce more) for this upcoming Sail-A-Palooza fundraiser. It’s been a lot of pleasant work. You can support Therapeutic sailing in North Idaho by coming and buying one of these awesome bags!!

We are so pumped to be a part of this year’s Sail-a-palooza. We are honored to support by upcycling the flagship J105 Dogsmile sails into hand cut and sewn tote bags. Last year they were sold out in 15 minutes! This year we focused on increasing our production so that we can better support therapeutic sailing in North Idaho and advertise the mission with awesome gear!!

We’ve had to dial back all production this summer for the sake of family time. There are just a few projects that have been super fun! Made sail cover, tiller cover and UV furling cover for a rare boat. This is a Montgomery 23 BCC layout. I’m told only 6 were made. Had to make sail mods on Marionette’s new headsail (luff was too long) and added a #5 luff tape for used Capri 25 laminate headsail. Loved seeing Angelique in New York for sail parade on Sail250!! What a glam shot and my love for tanbark!!

Canvas work time has been slow because I’ve been so busy with other things. Here is a cover we made last year going on to a friend’s Catalina 30. It turned out well, but installing below freezing is no fun! 🥶
