~~~Stonewall News Northwest is Hiring Freelance Writers~~~

If you're a freelance writer (q***r or allied) who is interested in covering LGBTQA+ news, people, and events in the Pacific Northwest, I'd love to hear from you.

Stonewall News Northwest, www.stonewallnews.net, covers western Montana through Northern Idaho, most of Washington and down western Oregon with an emphasis on Spokane/Coeur d'Alene, Portland and down Oregon's Willamette Valley. The attached map includes shaded areas of Stonewall's targeted broader coverage by county.

Work from home at your convenience covering one or two stories a month that are meaningful to our q***r communities. Word length per article ranges from 300-500 to around 2,000 for deeper dive pieces. Story ideas are typically pitched by Stonewall to the writer or by the writer to Stonewall with an agreed word count and deadline. We have a copy editor who can polish your piece before publication.

Local Elections Matter!
The August 5 Primary is coming fast!
In Pacific County, only North Cove (Tokeland & Grayland) and Ilwaco voters received ballots this year- if you live in one of these areas, make sure your ballot is returned on time.


Voting in elections in Washington is easy. Just fill out your ballot, make sure you sign it, and then either drop it in the mail (no stamp needed!) or find an election drop near you. 🗳️📬
