Opening in 1878 we are the oldest men's clothing store in Minnesota. Great customer service! Josephson’s has closed and will reopen in September under new management and a new name. Alfred Josephson opened the store on January 26, 1878 on Main Street where Red Wing Shoe offices are currently located. In 1884, they moved to the area where Riverfront park is now located. On May 1, 1901 the store mov

ed to its current location at 215 Bush Street. The store remained in the Josephson family until August 3, 1992 when it was purchased from Tom and Marilyn Josephson by Tom and Denise Withers. They remain the current owners today making them the oldest continually run men's clothing store in the state of Minnesota. Josephson's sells mens furnishings at fair prices on quality merchandise from top coats, socks and underwear to suits, shirts, ties and slacks in both casual and formal. We also carry slippers, pajamas and bathrobes. We carry a great line of accessories such as wallets, shaving kits, cologne, tie bars, cuff links and more. We now offer our own signature "Josephson's" cologne. The packaging was designed by Denise and the cologne was developed by Tom. It is getting rave reviews. We also rent formal wear for any occasion. We offer in house alterations on our regular priced merchandise. We care about our customers and quality customer service is our number one goal. Josephson's has been spotlighted in numerous newspapers, magazines, and television news stories relating to the history of our store.

RED WING, Minn. (WCCO) — It’s been a fixture in the Red Wing community for more than a century. Josephson’s, a men’s clothing store, served its final customers Tuesday as the current owner is retiring.
