There was a time when Thursday nights in downtown Red Wing felt like the unofficial start of the weekend. Stores stayed open late, sidewalks stayed busy, and people didn’t need a big reason to come downtown. Families wandered from shop to shop with ice cream in hand, friends stopped to talk on street corners, and every block felt alive with music, laughter, and that small town feeling you never really forget.

For years, people have talked about bringing that feeling back….. it’s official, we. are. back.

Join us from 4–7 PM for the Late Night Thursday kickoff event as downtown Red Wing fills with activities, shopping, music, pop ups, treats, and the kind of summer evening that reminds you why this community means so much. It is going to be a beautiful night to slow down, walk the sidewalks, see familiar faces, and make new memories downtown.

Downtown is spilling onto the sidewalks in a few weeks on a Thursday from 4–7 pm ✨

Shop pop-ups, sidewalk fun, local treats, and interactive activities will be happening all throughout downtown Red Wing! Expect bubbles, sidewalk chalk, hopscotch, lemonade stands, chair massages, popcorn sampling from Carroll’s Corn, sourdough pop-ups, giveaways, exclusive sales, market stands, and even a candy machine filled with surprises, offers, squishies, and more.

Browse handmade hypertufa art, watercolor bookmarks and cards, decoupaged shells, jewelry and bookmarks from The King’s Jewels, plus newly released Red Wing candles and locally made goods.

And now you can FINALLY see what’s happening inside the old Chief Theatre 👀 Join them for their open house!

The Sheldon will be hosting an open house for the Sheldon Youth Centerstage program where you can meet new Youth Theatre Director Jordyn Foss, explore the space, and get a first look at summer theatre camps for ages 9–18 with info sessions at 5:30 & 6:30.
