🌅 A Little Star City History

Star City became the county seat of newly created Lincoln County in 1871. The town was officially incorporated in 1876, and the name “Star City” was chosen when the new county seat was established.

Today, Star City is still the heart of Lincoln County, and places like this mural help tell its story. ❤️🇺🇸

🎸 DID YOU KNOW? 🇺🇸

One of the most legendary names in American music has an Arkansas connection that many people may not know about.

Johnny Cash was born in Kingsland, Arkansas, on February 26, 1932. 🎶

Before he became the legendary “Man in Black,” his story began right here in Arkansas.

Kingsland is a small Arkansas community, but it gave the world one of the most recognizable voices in country music history.

Arkansas is full of stories, and sometimes the biggest ones start in the smallest towns. 🌿

So if you’re exploring Arkansas waterways, keep your eyes open, and maybe don’t assume every log is a log. 👀🐊

But I’ve got this strange feeling that somebody is watching me. 😂🐶

I look up… Nothing.
I take another bite… 👀
I look again… THERE SHE IS. 😂
