We've made clothes for our kids, quilts for our beds and found ourselves drawn to the smaller projects that include hand-work. We became enchanted with the hand dyed wools and flosses and began to create sweet pillows and wall hangings and so often someone would ask "where did you get that pattern?" Most of our designs started as an inspiration, such as a fun day at the pumpkin patch and we playe

d with wool to recreate the memory. At the request of friends we began to make and share patterns. They were so well received we've taken it to the next level and created a place for "the masses" so to speak to be able to purchase our patterns and projects. Our designs are sweet and not fussy, we're all about projects you can do while visiting with friends or watching t.v. with your family in the evening. It's time for Traditional Primitives stunning project for the Wool & Freedom Stitch Along from the Woolie Friends Stitch A Longs FB group! "Guarding Old Glory" is Missies beautiful project! This project will celebrate the nation's 250 year with pride and freedom! It is 16" x 20" which includes the fabric surrounding the flag. The fabric kits include the embellishment pack which is 3 wooden buttons which are a variety of shapes, 6 red buttons and beads. You can make a choice between several kits, with or without a printed pattern, thread kits and extra embellishment packs. Find it all at TraditionalPrimitives.com on the home page! The free download is also on the home page about half way down in the New Products section. You can also get the download directly by joining my Stitch with Missie of Traditional Primitives Group. I’m so excited to finally reveal my project for the Wool & Freedom Stitch-Along — Liberty Wreath! I always love adding touches of red, white, and blue to my summer decorating, and this year it feels especially meaningful as our nation prepares to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. ❤️🤍💙
Liberty Wreath is a layered wool-on-wool table mat made with hand dyed wool and finished with sweet floral details, embroidery, and scalloped edges. Measuring a generous 11", it’s a relaxing project that stitches up fairly quickly and looks beautiful displayed on a table, cupboard, or tucked into a summer vignette.

It’s time for our second project in our Wool & Freedom Stitch a Long with the woolie friends stitch along group! Project #2 is brought to us by Calico Patch Designs. Isn’t it beautiful?! It is called Americana Wool Sampler and it is 16” x 20”. It is wool applique on a flannel background, with a few embellishments. The kit comes with a full color pattern and everything to complete this gorgeous vintage looking sampler. You have plenty of time to get it stitched up and hung for the 250th Anniversary of our great country! Kits are also available to purchase from Calico Patch Designs.

Happy Thursday, everyone!
I wanted to share this adorable picture my niece sent me of her darling group of
5-and 6-year-olds. In class this week they are studying 'qu' , so she brought a quilt I made her years ago to explain the quilting process and asked them how long they thought it took. Well... the answers were adorable - some said one hour, others said one year!
Oh, how full my heart is right now! Quilts are for all generations and made with love. Thank you, my sweet Victoria, for sharing with us!
