✨ Happy National Relaxation Day! ✨

Everyone has their own way to unwind...

For me, it's sewing, creating, crafting, and drawing new patterns. Whether I'm in my sewing room or relaxing at the campground or in between bus runs, creating something by hand is my happy place. 🧵🧸✏️❤️

How do you like to relax? I'd love to hear what helps you recharge!

🧵Sometimes a blanket is more than just a blanket… it’s a collection of memories. ❤️

A friend reached out to me because they were moving and wanted to do something special with her husband’s old jerseys from when he played here in Virginia.

With **about 30 jerseys** going into this blanket, there were a LOT of memories to work with! ❤️ Each jersey had its own story, and together they became a one-of-a-kind keepsake they can take with them into their next chapter.

I love being able to take something that might otherwise be packed away in a box and turn it into something that can be used, enjoyed, and remembered every day.

Remember the bridal robe I made from this wedding dress? Then came the purse... and I mentioned there was still more to come. ❤️

Well, here is the next chapter in this beautiful wedding dress story. 💍

These keepsake ornaments were created from the same wedding dress, using both the delicate lace and the white satin underneath. But what makes them even more meaningful is the handwriting.

The names on each ornament are the actual handwriting of the bride’s grandmothers, taken from an RSVP they signed for the bride’s parents’ wedding many years ago. I transformed a photo of their handwriting into an SVG, then used my Cricut to write their names onto fabric so their signature could become part of this keepsake.

Each ornament was finished with ribbon in colors chosen by the family to go along with the bride’s wedding, making them ready to hung and treasured for years to come.

I love how this wedding dress continues to tell a family’s story. What was once worn on one unforgettable day has now become a bridal robe, a purse, and these keepsake ornaments—each carrying memories from different generations.

And yes... there is still one more special keepsake to come from this wedding dress. I can’t wait to share the final chapter of its story with you. 💕

✨ Remember my wedding dress series, where I shared that there was still more to come? While this isn't made from the wedding dress itself, it's another reminder that treasured fabrics can become beautiful keepsakes instead of being tucked away. 💕

This custom wedding trunk was created as a gift for a bride—a special place to safely store the memories from one of life's biggest days.

Her mom provided the trunk along with a dance costume that held years of precious memories. I carefully pieced the costume together to create fabric large enough for the top of the trunk, embroidered it with my embroidery machine, and then covered the top of the trunk with it.

To make it even more meaningful, I reused the original bedazzled trim from the dance costume around the top and side edges. I love that those sparkling details get to continue telling their story instead of sitting in storage.

Whether it's a wedding dress, a dance costume, a favorite shirt, or another treasured fabric, I love finding new ways to preserve the memories they hold. Every stitch gives those memories a chance to be enjoyed for years to come. ❤️

Thank you for following along as I continue this journey of turning meaningful fabrics into lasting keepsakes.

Remember the bridal robe I shared a little while ago that was made from a mom's wedding dress? 💕 I mentioned there was more to come...

Well, here's the next keepsake from that very same wedding dress!

This beautiful purse was such a fun project to create, and I am so in love with how it turned out.

Every detail was chosen with love:
🤍 A vintage-style kiss clasp metal frame
🤍 A 47-inch chain that hangs right at the waist, making it perfect to wear as a shoulder or crossbody purse
🤍 A hidden pocket featuring a message to the bride, recreated in her mom's and dad's own handwriting
💙 The blue lining made from one of her daughter's dance costumes—a beautiful way to bring together memories from two generations in one special keepsake.

I love taking something as meaningful as a wedding dress and giving it a new life—creating pieces that can be used, loved, and passed down while keeping those precious memories close.

Oh... and if you notice an extra little model in the photos, my dog decided she wanted to be part of the photoshoot too! 🐶❤️

And yes... there's still more to come from this special wedding dress! I can't wait to share the next keepsake with you.

Thanks for following along as I create memories and relax... one stitch at a time. ❤️

☀️ With summer in full swing and families spending time at the pool and beach, I had the pleasure of helping a lady update her favorite one-piece swimsuit to better fit her needs.

She wanted a little more coverage in the neckline so she could comfortably keep up with her kids. With a few custom alterations, her swimsuit is now both functional and flattering!

A little handmade fun for the 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

My daughter and I each picked out the fabric for our shirts, and I turned them into reverse appliqué designs by hand embroidering each letter with embroidery floss before cutting away the t-shirt fabric to reveal the patterned fabric underneath.

I love creating things that are one of a kind and that they can remind us of the memories made that day!!

Wishing everyone a happy and safe 4th of July! Enjoy making memories! 🎆🪡

In honor of Father's Day a couple days ago, I wanted to share a special memory project. 💙

Last year, a customer who had lost her husband and the father of her children asked me to create memory pillows from his shirts to give to her daughter's. Together, we designed a custom embroidered patch, and I brought it to life using my computer and embroidery machine.

Each pillow included an insert, and you can also use the original shirt buttons to be able to remove the cover if needed. I also included a flap right underneath the collar, so that you can't see the pillow insert.

Projects like these are a reminder that a favorite shirt can become more than fabric—it can become a comforting keepsake filled with memories of someone deeply loved and missed.

Thinking of everyone who spent Father's Day remembering a special father figure they lost. ❤️😇
