Hi everyone. I was able to gift a wig the other day!🥳🎉😣

Still working on getting to my target of winter caps. I think I have 5 more to make. After that, I start adding hair to little girl caps. Very excited to start that project. I need to finish the caps alone first or I might have so much fun adding hair that I ignore getting back to my original target. I’m bad like that. Gives me incentive to finish the caps only project though.

After the caps with hair is finished, it’s on to newborn caps.☺️

Hi everyone. I've been knitting, knitting, knitting winter caps for the 2026 blessing bags my church gives out to those in need every year. Finished those and now am knitting caps for kids to give away at Halloween, with a brochure to help spread the word about my mission/passion/ministry. I'm enjoying it sooo much! Once I've made my goal, I plan to figure out how to add yarn hair to the girl caps and how to attach removable beards to the boy ones. Very excited to start that.

Since I don't have the storage for this, I'm using my guest bed. Hats are piling up! I'm praying it will be worth it.

My yarn supply is slowly going down. I'm going to reach out to my local community to see if anyone is getting rid of any yarn and might want to donate it to my cause. ☺️

Hi everyone. Received my knitting looms. I LOVE them! I've been busy making all kinds of winter caps for the blessing bags later this yr. I plan to continue making kids sizes to be handed out at halloween, provided the weather is nice. Very excited to give all the kiddos the choice of candy, yarn wig, yarn beard or winter cap. I plan to give a brochure with each wig/beard. Maybe that might stir up some interest in families wanting their kiddos to be gifted on or the other. I'll let you know how it goes.☺️

Hi Everyone:

About the knitting machine(s). The first one broke in 4 places.😲 We took the top section off to see what kind of damage there was. My goodness..., plastic dust everywhere from things rubbing together when they weren't suppose to, handle broke, the section holding the handle broke in 3 pieces... Returned it for a refund. I ordered another and it just broke. Received the refund. Guess they can't take a lot of constant use. I managed to make about 30-40 hats though.

I did find manual knitting circles and rectangles on Amazon. Watched the video. It looks pretty easy; I'm going to give them a try. They don't look like my eyes or fingers will suffer from prolonged use. I can use my thicker yarn with them too. The machine needs yarn that's on the thin side. Have a bit of thin, but a lot of medium-very thick yarn. Should be here next week. Excited to see how they work out. I'll let you know how it goes.☺️

Hi everyone. I hope all of you had wonderful Christmas celebrations and gatherings.

It's been a while. Still not having anyone take me up on a gifting. Maybe someday. However, since I have 2 closets of spare yarn wasting away, I decided to get myself a knitting machine to make warm caps. We have a ladies group at church that makes and distributes blessing bags to those in need every year. Instead of purchasing a lot of caps for the bags, I can make them. I already have 16 finished for next yr. Enjoying it very much. The group also does community service, one of which is at a pregnancy crisis center. I plan to get a small machine and make hats for the center as well. I'm going to attend the next group meeting to get a better feel for what they are about. Excited about going and making caps, caps, and more caps😄.

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to attract interest in the wigs and beards, which is disappointing. I missed the annual community yard sale, due to illness; but there's always next year.

Once I have my energy back, I'll repost the brochure. All it takes is one person to start the ball rolling.☺️

Well, offering to have a mass gifting for any kiddo, toddler to teen, at my church was a big bust. Got several emojis, but sadly not one adult contacted me to schedule a gifting for their kiddo(s). Very disappointing. Trying not to take it personally...

Next step is to put it out to my local community. Maybe because this time there's no criteria (to bring a smile to any kiddo going through a hard time), just trying to reduce my stock, it will go better than it did with my church. Couldn't go worse, right?

Well, I've made so many wigs and beards that I've run out of storage room. I just posted to my church's FB page about doing a mass gifting in a few weeks for any kiddo who would like one. I hope there is a good response to this. If I have enough left over after that, I'm going to put it out to my local community.☺️

Excited to see how this works out; hoping for a good response. I miss making them.

Spring will win the battle with winter here soon. Once it’s here, I’m excited to set a date(s) for the giveaway that I’ve talked about. I’ve been collecting twist and braid videos to try out. Can’t wait for the mass giftings and get started new wigs and beards! If you’re in my local community, keep an eye out for the posts.☺️

A family experienced a tragedy. A child saw the result of it. I gave my brochure to a friend whose child knows the family, to pass along to them. I hope they reach out.
