I thought I’d get in on the new “mixed corduroy with cotton” trend. I’m a fan of corduroy, especially now since it’s not super thick and painfully woven. This one was a pleasure to work with. I stitched on my Luminaire with no issues.

My accent fabric is actually a stretch cotton. I backed with 2 layers of SF101 in different directions. No stretch 😊. The lining is waterproof canvas = structure with no need for interfacing on the lining. I prefer to bind the inside seams so I used the same waterproof canvas. The bonus is it doe not ravel, you can clip around the curves for better fit and you just need one fold not two like regular binding.

Spend a leisurely afternoon with me making the Perfect zipper bag out of the most delicious cookie and candy bags.

Your class fee includes a kit complete with all the things necessary for a long lasting pouch! Kits include: Candy/Cookie bag, fusible vinyl, foam batting, lining, bias binding, zipper tape and pull. Bring polyester thread in a neutral color. I will bring some thread colors to borrow as well. You will use one of my pattern templates perfectly sized to utilize all the print on the bag. Resource list for supplies included.

As always., little goodie bags are the icing on the cake...you just never know what I'll put in those goodie bags but I promise it will be something fun and fabulous and just maybe the final finishing touch on your bag.

This is a live class. Spots are limited so grab your spot and sign your friend up while you're at it. Rental machines are available if you don't want to schlep yours.....So what are you waiting for?

There are soooo many fun panel print projects to choose from! I love tracing the shape before I cut so I can try it again in other ways; like jelly vinyl or a recycled cookie bag!

In this workshop, we’ll shake off the winter dust, dive into vibrant colors. It invites you to step into a new creative direction this Spring with an in‑person, beginner‑friendly zipper pouch class that’s simple, colorful, and confidence‑boosting. You’ll learn how to choose the right stabilizers for bagmaking, feel confident installing a zipper‑by‑the‑yard, and pick a fun label to make your pouch uniquely yours. By the end, you’ll have a fully lined zipper pouch, new skills under your belt, and a spark of inspiration for what comes next.

Who knows — it may be the start of a whole bagmaking capsule in your creative journey. The first class is set for April April 23rd from 5:30- 8:30 pm. More to follow!! Class size is limited to 10 and includes kit. Just bring thread and any favorite items.

I fully admit to being an avid trash sewist 😉 And who doesn’t love a stash of Oreos while sewing??? Fully lined and totally functional and not in the landfill. Oh, and you can’t hide snacking on these lil cookies…..nope, it looks like chocolate filling, tastes like chocolate filling and turns green on your tongue 😜 👅
