Shaheen Carpet is celebrating our 60th Anniversary in 2024!
In 1964 the Beatles launched the British pop invasion on the Ed Sullivan show, a stamp cost a nickel, and the Dow Jones Average closed at 874. And Said Shaheen ( pictured above with his wife Alethea) came out of early retirement to start Shaheen Carpet Mills . Sixty years later we are still doing our best to meet his standard of high quality carpet at affordable prices.

We Honor and Thank 30+year employee Jose Rodriguez on his last day at Shaheen Carpet Mills before retiring. Jose came to us in 1992 and has been one of our most dependable and hardworking tufting machine operators since. We are going to miss him personally, as well as his expertise on keeping sometimes finicky machines tufting top quality carpet. Thank you, God Bless, and Take Care.

We want to Thank and Wish Best Wishes to our colleague David Pass who is retiring from Shaheen Carpet Mills and the carpet industry. He has worked with us for fifteen years and has contributed tremendously to our company. Among his many duties, he was very involved with sales, product development, and if you sent us a sample or swatch for us to replicate, odds are that he handled that process from start to finish. David is planning to be self employed and pursue his interest in buying and selling Antique guns, swords , and other interesting artifacts. We are going to miss you David. Good Luck, and don't be a stranger.

Bob White , the head of our Sierra Carpet division for over 20 years, has announced his retirement. Bob (pictured here with David, Marie and Cathy) is an industry veteran who joined Mohawk in 1963 when it was headquartered in Amsterdam, New York. Not many folks can thrive in the same industry for nearly 60 years, and we congratulate Bob and thank him for the great work he did with us. Thank you and now relax, enjoy yourself, and be well. Teresa and David and the rest of us at Shaheen Carpet want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We have a great deal to be thankful
for! Last year at Thanksgiving several of our associates were ill with
Covid, but this year everyone is healthy! We pause for a few days to reflect on our blessings and to hope that everyone will enjoy some time with family and friends this week.
