Give your pants some personality.

Men spend a lot of time thinking about shirts and jackets and almost none thinking about pants. That’s a mistake.

Your pants make up nearly half your outfit, so why are you always reaching for khaki, gray, or navy?

Pull a color from your sport coat. Try burgundy, to***co, forest green, cream, chocolate, or a rich shade of blue. Redefine what neutral means and choose pants that bring your entire outfit together.

Stop treating your shirt like a background piece.

You can have the best sport coat in the room, but if you throw a boring shirt underneath it, you’ve missed an opportunity.

White and light blue belong in every man’s wardrobe. But they shouldn’t be your entire personality.

Own a navy blazer? Almost everybody does. Bring yours to life with a patterned shirt that adds depth and color. Look for a little navy, a lighter blue, orange, or another shade that complements the jacket without simply matching it.
