This is making me super sad. Joann's was the one store I enjoyed just walking around and browsing in. I was hopeful last week, but not anymore. Their Idaho Falls store got word this morning that they are shutting down, also. So very sad. When Hancock Fabrics got closed down years ago, it made sourcing fabrics a little more complicated when I needed to find a close match for a client job.

So, if you are looking for seamstresses to add on a different sleeve or change the look of your wedding dress (such as a modesty makeover), I highly recommend that you source the fabric from the shop where you purchased your dress so it comes from the designer. That'll be your best resource to get the best match.

Well folks. With Governor Little's announcement of the state wide order to shelter-in-place for 21 days, we here at Perfectly Stitched are going to abide by that order. Since our business is from home, and my services are non-essential, we will NOT be taking any new clients at this time. All current client work we have in house will be completed as quickly as possible. Once the order is lifted we will be back up and running. See you, hopefully, in a month.

If your looking for a suit check out this guide on how one should fit before you buy. As a tailor I can help fit suit jackets in the torso, shorten or lengthen sleeves, and bring up the hem length a bit. But if there are fitting issues like some of what is mentioned in this article I often can't help.

I have been sewing up a storm for several months here at Perfectly Stitched. Just when I thought I was slowing down for a bit I've recently been inundated with suits. I love tailoring suits. My hooks and door frames are full to overflowing.

I love my military clientele. I appreciate their service to our country and do my very best to help them look their best. Recently I had the great opportunity to alter and attach insignia patches to a U.S. Navy dress whites uniform for a client. I always check military regulations for uniforms when I work on them to make sure the requirements are met. If you need help with your uniform give me a call.

For this job I shortened the sleeves (to just cover his wrist bone), hemmed the pants (2" above the floor), pressed the creases the proper direction (some are pressed outward and some are pressed inward), and attached his rating patch and service stripe.
