I have known Roger Magalhaes for years. We both started our window treatment businesses around the same time (20 years ago!), and he is one of the true icons of this industry. Getting to sit down for a real conversation on his podcast, No Strings Attached, was so much fun.

Earlier this year, I stood in front of a room of design professionals at the International Window Coverings Expo and told them what I think is coming next for luxury window treatments.

I did not guess. I spent months tracking what our top designer partners were specifying, which materials kept resurfacing, and which questions came up again and again on site visits and in fittings.

This room, a collaboration with Liz Walton Home, is a small preview. Woven wood shades layered under custom drapery, doing exactly what a well-specified treatment should. Thank you for the tag, Tara. This one has been a joy from start to finish.

A whole-home window treatment install for this Villanova renovation, and not a single treatment repeated throughout the house. Every room its own story, every window its own solution. That is the kind of project that brings out the best in our team.

We cannot wait to see it fully furnished and styled. Something tells us it is going to be stunning.

This is one of my favorite projects this summer. A serene primary suite on Rittenhouse Square, executed in collaboration with Barbara Gisel Design.

We used a new slim-profile hardware system that nearly disappears against the architecture. When the treatment does all the talking and the hardware quietly steps aside, you know you have gotten it right.

The cutting table. The sewing machines. The sample rail. The steaming. The standards that never move regardless of the project size or the deadline. This is what we mean when we say white-glove fabrication. It happens here first.

Remember the cafe curtains on the arched living room window we showed you last week? Same home, different room.

This kitchen is part of a whole-home collaboration with Stephanie Kraus Design, with cordless Horizon woven wood shades . The natural texture against the tile backsplash was no accident. Everything in this room is working together, exactly as it should.
