When I first started picking this was one of my favorite t-shirts in my collection. Not sure if I found this in the wild or bought from another collector. Either way this vintage Ecuador Armed Special Forces Commando Shirt is a banger. If I find another one again trust me it's never being sold again. Had to go down memory lane for this one, sorry this is the only photo I have.

These are U.S. Army M-1950 trouser suspenders, a piece of military field gear originally designed for soldiers to hold up combat trousers.

From the markings visible in this photo:

"SUSPENDER, TROUSER M-1950" is the official military designation.

DSA-1-70-C-7002 indicates a U.S. Defense Supply Agency contract from around 1970.

MIL-S-... refers to the military specification the suspenders were manufactured to.

MFG CO. identifies the contractor that produced them under government contract.

These suspenders were commonly issued with:

M-1951 field trousers
OG 107 utility uniforms,
Cold weather and combat trousers with suspender buttons

They're made from heavy olive drab elastic with metal adjusters and button loops, built to withstand military use.

I got a text today from one of my pickers, telling me he talk to a guy that used to own a surplus store in the 80s. Get this, he still has a unit full of army gear; domestic and foreign.

This is the part I love, connecting with collectors. The knowledge and love he has for army gear I'm sure is unmatched. Trust me, when I get that chance to get in the unit, you guys will be there with me.

I never appreciated vintage when I was younger, I wanted to be around my dad al the time; but when he wanted to go to garage/yard sales I wasn't feeling it. Naw I'm good, used clothes.....what, why?

There is a mall right up the street with new clothes, why are we doing this.

Now that I'm older, can't stand the mall or new clothes.
I'm a bigger dude, it's hard finding clothes in my size pre 60s. If you know me or seen me around I'm pretty much in all black most of the time with a hoodie (cold or sunny)

I say all this because I would definitely style my kids in vintage clothes on a regular. The garments back then were amazing. Yard/Garage sales now are definitely on my go to stops for weekly picks.

Have fun!!
