My grandfather was a lover of traditional South Asian music and dance. He used to sit in front of the TV with his headphones on (because God knows how loud the volume would be without them) and watch videos of Kathak dances, Qawwali’s, and Ghazals. One of his favorite movies (also my mom’s) was the 1972 Indian film Pakeezah. Pakeezah Paizaar is partially an ode to this kind, gentle soul who instilled a passion for the arts in his children and grandchildren.

Hi friends! First and foremost, thank you SO much for all of your support over the last few months. What started out as a whimsical idea turned into something so much bigger, and we have had tremendous success alhamdulillah with our first batch of shoes.
