These are some of the most wild shoe clips I have ever seen! Never worn from the 1940s these shoe clips are fashioned out of multicolor feathers into a fake bird (as we know super popular for hats of the time period!) This WWI era silk handkerchief bag is so bittersweet. Dated 1918, this sweetheart keepsake features a heartfelt poem on the inside with a 48 star American flag pocket. On the front the words “forget me not” are delicately embroidered with the American flag and a brass USA pin. I found this with a WWI silk rod of Asclepius hanky and a very RARE and extremely collectable US Medical Corps embroidered postcard inside. A lovely late Victorian blue enamel mourning locket was just listed in my shop! The focal point of this locket is a crucifix inlaid with delicate seed pearls, representing tears. This locket is blue enamel rather than your standard black which could represent a later stage of mourning when more colors could be worn. Priced gently and this locket is a wounded bird.
