August is National Water Quality Month

Because of its perceive abundance, clear appearance, and tasteless flavor profile, water easily becomes one of the most overlooked items on this earth 🌎.

To our species basic knowledge most all living things are made up of water. Everything on this Earth needs water to survive.

This is why you will find all these random organizations being concerned about it's quantity and quality.

It's not a scare tactic.

Whether you have good or questionable habits and cravings in life you had better believe that 99% of the time Water πŸ’¦πŸŒŠ was needed to make it so.

This post isn't about the blame game either.

Our species has nothing to do with the original creation of water.

Just every now and again give a thought to a habit involving water on an individual level.

Being that I'm a janitor I have this naive notion that there's usually trash bins everywhere.

So something as small as making sure that your trash ends up in one of those instead of a water supply could help a lot of if we as individuals just try.

What about repurposing questionable water bottles?

I used to come across so many opened water bottles that I would empty them in my mop bucket. I add a viricide to it anyway and the job gets done with less waste.

It's not about being perfect. Just be mindful where you can.

Our future and traditions depend greatly on it.

In A Few Hours It's Going To Be National Women's Equality Day & We're Still In International Peace Month.

Peace πŸ•ŠοΈ, Equality 🟰 & Freedom πŸ†“ all go hand and hand.

To experience Peace πŸ•ŠοΈ you must be Free πŸ†“ from wrongdoings and oppression.

To experience Peace πŸ•ŠοΈ you must feel a since of Equality 🟰 where you are not denied basic human rights.

Peace πŸ•ŠοΈ, Equality 🟰 & Freedom πŸ†“ are Not color spectrums.

People from all walks of life in our species have fought and are still fighting for the freedom to be equally accepted as an indispensable life form.

August is also National Black Business Month.

However, if the women of history did not fight, struggle and even die for women's equality . . .

National Black Business Month would mean nothing to me today.

It wasn't a perfect system but black men were written into law as having more rights before any color of woman.

As the video references women still had to work hard. Do the "woman's work" and the "men's work" with little to no pay, input or acknowledgement.

To make that become law was a very hard fight.

It still is today.

As law doesn't promise practice or universal agreement within the masses. It just tells them that it will be illegal to participate in acts of violence and inequality.

The last part of the video might seem random but I have my reasons.

First thing first if I had a perfect life I would admit it. Gladly 😁

As it stands now it's average and still riddled with same basic societal assumptions and demands.

C'est la vie 🀷

That last part demonstrates a time where a man was questioned about his marital status.

He was a single, blue-collared man and not interested in dating. People laughed at his response and after that day no one judged or questioned him any further on the topic.

As a blue-collared woman I was not as lucky. I was questioned and targeted for not showing any interest in marriage or having children.

The response was not equal.

Admittedly, I did laugh at the man's response too and had fun writing about it.

However, there is an inescapable message in the memory.

Not matter who it represents don't take your Equality and Freedoms for granted.

History has been very clear on the fact that Peace πŸ•ŠοΈ, Freedom πŸ†“ and Equality 🟰 has been very difficult to obtain.

As we still beg for Peace πŸ•ŠοΈ amongst ourselves (homo sapiens) for hundreds of thousands of years.

I've heard for many years that people are tired of traditions.

πŸ€”What if, in this time period of our species . . .

We could finally make Positive Equality and Peace πŸ•ŠοΈ an obtainable and widely practiced tradition?πŸ€”

I mean we've been around now for about 300,000 years now.

It may be time for it now.

We are in the last hours of July. Which means that these are the few remaining hours of Culinary Arts Month.

No matter how fancy it sounds, Culinary Arts will always have one core meaning and motive.

To Feed.

That's what makes it so notable and important any time of the year.

The human body Needs Food. It's essential to its survival.

So while we as humans have placed a great deal of time on choice discriminations. The human body does not discriminate on this fact. We must eat.

This Fact should Never be viewed as an epiphany.

This should be something that we always think of and note regardless of who it is.

No matter where they were born
No matter what clothes they have on their back (if any)
No matter race
No matter religion
No matter where they call home
No matter any hardships they have
ETC.

Having food is not just a good idea. It's the main idea.

So let's remember that today and the days to follow.

No matter the circumstances. I know that unfortunately this is thought to be a "luxury" for too many in this world rather than a human right.

I know that times are becoming increasingly difficult for everyone. So this is no chastisement.

Even if our lacking monetary wealth makes the thought of food or Culinary Arts seem too rich.

Knowledge even on an empty stomach fuels us to think outside the box and mount resilience.

Knowledge is our food for the soul.

Sometimes our soul's food source leads the body to action and get a resolution.

Especially when we don't allow ourselves to forget or negate the true purpose behind things.

Even "simple" things like Culinary Arts.

Something else to keep in mind as we bring in International Peace Month in a few hours.

Today's National Gorgeous Grandma Day

My Gorgeous Grandma is no longer with me in body but in spirit she is indelible.

She was the first person I channeled when I thought about writing silly anecdotal songs.

The song from this post is from a memorable day that I got a whole cake to myself as a kid.

Just because the cake didn't live up to her memory of it. So there was commentary on the matter.

I found the day so funny because that's the first and only time that my grandma ever looked at me strange or dubious. πŸ€”

She just couldn't understand why I liked the cake.πŸ˜‚

She was a kind and strong woman and remains to be one of the best examples of a gorgeous grandma (person) that I've ever met.❀️

July Is National Culinary Arts Month

The attached picture is a FB Memory from my current full-time job.

If I make it, in less than 6 months I will actually be acknowledging my 12 year anniversary with the company.

This picture was the result of the company showing appreciation to staff for giving just a little bit more of themselves in service to the nonprofit organization.

It isn't much but still to this day I allow my job to take the cost of admission out of my paycheck each pay period to go back into doing something more for the company.

I know essentially that this Culinary Arts observation for the month focuses a little heavier on the trained professionals.

However, seeing this picture reminded me of the production line setup of hot plates, the gathering of cooking gear, and even preparing the food to order.

This was done by our Admin staff. Simple home cooks showing the same passion and consideration as the pros.

I do admit that I suck at this whole social media thing.

But I hope that when I do post that I'm conveying that exact message.

Simply that . . .

The heart of a new cook❀️
The heart ❀️ of an old cook
The heart of a home cook❀️
The heart ❀️ of a professional cook

πŸ’“They all beat the same. πŸ’“

The only difference is the amount of experience.

Today's National Simplicity Day

A day for doing and/or accepting things around you that are just like it says on the tin. Simply.

I consider myself a rather simple person. I don't require a lot of bells and whistles or flamboyancy.

Full time I work a simple job for the simple task of maintaining that me and my bills are nervous but current.

With the simple hope that any of my years of labor will ever be enough.

For my down time I'm usually happiest looking at overseas tv shows on a small dvd player. Or sitting listening to music.

Even for food, I noticed that the items I used to be the most afraid of making as a then new cook had the simplest ingredients.

There are so many items where I can have the most enjoyable culinary experiences usually using 5 ingredients that are typically always around.

That's why I have such great admiration for the cooking process because so many times I've seen my loved ones and myself create something satisfying from what most would call nothing.

Yes we're all looking for something greater in life. Whether it's materialistic, monetary, and/or a general sense of purpose in life.

Just make sure that today and further down the line don't negate those simpler moments and/or items that you may acquire along the way. It holds more meaning and worth than you may realize.

Simple greetings to you all.πŸ™‚
