Well done Senator Jim Risch and Senator Mike Crapo. Thank you for recognizing the importance of public lands in our way of life.
BREAKING:
In separate statements today, both Idaho Senator Jim Risch and Senator Mike Crapo confirmed they do not support the proposal to sell off 2-3 million acres of federal land through the Senate reconciliation bill. IWF joins hunters, anglers, and public land users across the state in thanking Senator Risch and Crapo for standing up for public lands!
This is a critical moment and a welcome one. With over 250 million acres potentially eligible for sale under Senator Mike Lee’s proposal, both Senators’ public opposition sends a strong signal: Idahoans value our public lands, and our elected officials should too.
Now’s the time to show support. Let’s make it clear that standing up for public land is standing with the people of Idaho.
Thank you, Senator Risch and Senator Crapo.
Let’s keep the pressure on and make sure this provision is removed entirely.
