I want to lovingly clarify something because my heart truly hurts seeing this. ❤️

I did not steal the book or intend to take anything that didn’t belong to me. I placed it inside A Fern & A Feather General Store because I was trying to protect it from the weather and preserve it. My intention was never to disrespect the memorial, Dolly, the Parton family, or the community.

I am genuinely sorry that my actions were misunderstood and that this has caused anyone hurt or upset. If I had realized that moving it inside would be perceived this way, I absolutely would have handled things differently.

There was no selfish or dishonest intention behind what I did. I was simply trying to protect something I believed was important from being damaged by the elements.

I sincerely hope this can be understood for what it was: an attempt to preserve something meaningful, not an attempt to steal it. ❤️🙏

My heart goes out to everyone who put time, love, and emotion into this tribute. That was never something I wanted to take away from anyone.!!! 🦋🦋🦋
