ALANAYA BROWN is a distinguished home decor and apparel brand for the conscious individual. Handcrafted by Nayshi Richardson, ALANAYA products are created for those who both love beautiful aesthetics and have a desire to make conscious statements by moving “forward through fashion.”

As a child, my mother taught me to sew. As an adult, my passion for sewing and my love for beautiful aesthetics met

in 2013 when I decided to start a business. Over the years, I my pieces have grown with me, each becoming more of a reflection of the my love for fashion, culture, and creativity. The name "ALANAYA" originated as one of my unique names created by my mother. Equally unique are the products I create, and each piece represents my personal take on the norm. We believe in customer satisfaction, and hope you experience the touch of love and care each item was made with.

Growing up, taking care of my hair was a sore spot. It seemed difficult, I didn’t like it, and when I did get it styled, it took so long I swore I wouldn’t do it again. It wasn’t until my mid-twenties after perms ruined my hair that I learned to appreciate my natural hair in all of it’s glory.
