Cabinet from a 1904 Singer 27 - arrived in very rough shape, but slowly coming back to life.

It's starting to look like a Singer factory here this week...but there is a world of difference in the quality of the two pictured here, and a vast difference in quality from the 1927 we had the other day.
Oh well, sew on!

Sewing does seem to bring us back to a place (momentarily) that our hearts yearn for: simpler times, and a place to call home. A haven from the chaos and madness that seems to await outside our door. And a place to rest and reflect on the goodness of our God.
