It’s the best feeling in the world to see your jewelry being worn by beautiful people who are also the dearest of friends! Cele saw the lapis necklace I sold at a holiday market and asked for her own, longer, version. I love making things that are special because they are unique to the wearer. Also, happy birthday to one of my biggest supporters and favorite people!

Grown up version of friendship bracelets! I love wearing black and my bestie loves grey 🙂 Before I learned that about her, I thought grey was depressing (yes, ironic, I know). But afterward I started seeing how beautiful blue grey is, how rich and elegant and strong the color could be, and how I love the way it looks with its silver cousin. So here’s us, in jewelry form and somehow it’s this surprisingly sparkly gothic design.

Almost got scammed last night with what I thought was a custom order. Thankfully I had to go through security training for work and recognized the red flags before I was compromised. It made me realize that I hadn’t made all my Meta and Venmo data private so it was a good wake up call. Here’s a screenshot of what they wanted me to do.

Made a hematite and black jasper necklace with black dagger beads and sterling silver findings (including a magnetic clasp!).

Photographed it in the 2nd draft of my light box and I’m still not in love with the results. (Why do I get stripes and can the wrong white paper diffuser turn a neutral white bulb warm?)

Here’s an asymmetrical tourmaline piece I made for myself at my acupuncturist’s suggestion. Pink and red tourmaline is used in traditional Chinese medicine to stimulate blood circulation. I love the understated fall colors. Also, my brother helped me build a light box for product photography but it looks like I’m going to have to make some tweaks before I start using it for business because it’s not bright enough. I’m looking forward to feeling fulfilled at the end after I figure it out. It’s a learning curve not being able to use the Arizona sun as my backlight.
