When you love what you do… working becomes your fun plans. Sorry not sorry.

If multitasking is impossible, then explain this 😂. My resume actually says on it “master of multitasking” 😂 If you know me… you know I ain’t lying. I will choreograph a tendu exercise while sipping my coffee and brainstorming my next project.

Do you consider yourself a multi-tasker or do you prefer to focus on one thing at a time?

I’d love to see chatGPT try and make this. Don’t stop practicing your talents because AI sure as hell ain’t taking ALL the jobs.

5 things ballet has taught me—on and off the dance floor 🩰

1️⃣ Follow your heart
When something you love makes you feel truly alive, that’s your sign. You’re on the right path.

2️⃣ Discipline
Progress takes time. Ballet taught me patience, consistency, and how to fall in love with the process, not just the results.

3️⃣ The basics are everything
Without a strong foundation, everything else falls apart. Barre, alignment, fundamentals—same goes for life.

4️⃣ How to take constructive criticism
You’re never above learning. Stay a student. Listen, adjust, and take corrections with grace instead of ego.

5️⃣ Confidence
Posture and how you carry yourself is everything.

Which one resonates with you the most? Tell me in the comments ⬇️

We’re so quick to ask for opinions, approval, and reassurance from everyone else… meanwhile our inner voice has been quietly giving us the answer all along.
Your gut instinct isn’t random — it’s built from experience, lessons, and truth.

And yes, this applies to ballet too.
Listening to your inner voice directly correlates to listening to your body. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t push it. Honor what your body is telling you so you can grow stronger, safer, and more sustainably — in dance and in life.

If something feels off, trust that.
If something lights you up, follow it.
You already know. 🤍

Some random Tuesday-night thoughts while hemming… (yes , I’ll hem your pants 🤣) ✂️🪡

I’m finishing up a project I’ve been working on for months… and tonight it finally leaves my hands. I’m so proud of it and I love how it turned out , but I’m feelin’ a little sad for some weird reason. Does this happen to you too?

I never really thought about this as a concept before, but it’s definitely thing.  The build-up, the obsession, the late nights… and then suddenly it’s done. The show ends. The piece is delivered and it’s like, OK well now what? BUT… this also is what gives us the push to want to create more, to keep going, to do something even bigger…

If you’re a creative, a performer, a maker — does this happen to you too?

⬇️ Drop a comment and let me know how you feel when a project you love is finally finished.

Technique tip for my adult ballet dancers 🩰
(Professionals, you already know the deal 😉)

A clean tendu doesn’t start with the foot — it starts with alignment.
If your tendu leg won’t fully straighten, chances are the issue isn’t your foot at all… it’s your standing side and posture. When you sit into your hip, everything downstream has to compensate. But the second you lift out of the hip, stack your alignment, and lengthen through the spine, your leg suddenly has space to work properly.

Think:
• Lift out of the standing hip
• Maintain posture (even when moving slowly)
• Keep every muscle engaged the entire time
• Lead with the heel, articulate through the ankle, foot, then toes
• Control it just as much on the way back in

Technique isn’t about forcing positions — it’s about setting your body up correctly so the movement can actually happen.

Save this and try it slowly in your next class. Your tendu will feel completely different ✨

Having trouble staying motivated? These are my top 5 tips that I live by;

    1. I don’t wait to feel ready.
Feeling ready is overrated. If I waited for confidence, nothing would exist. I start while unsure, learn while moving, and let action do what overthinking never can.
    2. I stay in my lane.
The second I compare my Chapter 20 to someone else’s highlight reel, I lose focus. Instead, I use other people’s success as my inspiration.
    3. I finish what I start.
Talent is common. Follow-through is rare. Finishing builds discipline, trust in myself, and momentum that motivation alone can’t create.
    4. I trust my skill over my feelings.
Feelings fluctuate. Skill is earned through repetition, failure, and showing up anyway. On days doubt is loud, I let experience make the decisions.
    5. I remember who I am.
I’ve already done things I once thought I couldn’t. I’ve built from nothing, figured it out as I went, and kept going when it would’ve been easier to stop. That history matters.

If you’re doubting yourself right now, pause.
Look at what your hands can do.
That’s not luck. That’s mastery in progress.

Keep going. You’re already further than you think
If you’re creating, building, dreaming, or doubting—this is your reminder:
you’re already that good.

Thinking ballet is “too late” to start?
Think again 💭
Adult beginner ballet isn’t about perfection—it’s about reconnecting with your body, moving with intention, and finding joy in the process.

✨ build strength safely
✨ improve posture & balance
✨ move with more confidence
✨ reduce everyday tension
✨ find a supportive, judgment-free community

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need the “perfect” body.
You just need curiosity and a willingness to try.

👉 Save this post for later, share it with a friend who’s been ballet-curious, or join us in class and experience it for yourself.

This Valentine’s Day, I’m celebrating the kind of love that doesn’t come in a box or a bouquet. ♥️

I’m in love with my work.

With the late nights, the sketches, the scissors on fabric, and the trust it takes for someone to choose me to bring their vision to life.

This solo costume was created for a very special dancer at The Ballet Studio in Bordentown, NJ ( )for the upcoming competition season. She’s dancing to “Stray Cat Strut”—and when she asked me to create her costume, my heart skipped a beat.

The moment she sees it for the first time… her reaction?
That’s it. That’s the Valentine.

Creating something that makes a dancer feel confident, powerful, and truly seen will always be what I love most. 💌

If you’re a dancer, studio owner, or parent dreaming up a competition costume for this season, save this reel, share it with your studio, and send me a message — I’d love to create something unforgettable for you.
