A teddy bear, a classic gift for a friend’s new baby… yes.
Now let’s go a little deeper. This bear was made from the bridesmaid dress that the gift giver wore in her friend’s wedding! Now that, my friends, is an extra thoughtful gift.

We know weddings are about the bride and groom, but we also know the Mother of the Bride is a shining star; Traci definitely shone brightly!
Her dress needed hemming and a little work to help polish her look so on the wedding day she can do all the mom things and be absolutely stunning doing it! Congrats Traci and fam!

I love when a girl knows how she wants her dress to fit and will (or her mom will) search out someone who can see her vision and say yes it can be done (that’s me) after being told it cannot be done (not me). Now she’s comfortable, confident and an absolute knockout at her homecoming!!

I am often asked if I only do bridal, or if I only do hemming, or if I only do….. I am thankful I get to do diverse projects. What can I say, I’m a fabric geek. Almost any fabric related project I will tackle. (During Covid I made so many masks at a time I thought I’d go numb)

I was given the opportunity to create a custom bench and chair cushion set, double sided button-tufted, cord edged and extra thick. It was no small task, but what an adventure… yes, an adventure, says the fabric geek…

Isn’t Leah a stunning bride! She was magnificent in her dress! It took quite a bit of work to customize the fit to Leah’s petite frame, but so worth the effort to bring her the joy of walking down the aisle in her dream dress!

What a wonderful gift from Mom…. She gave her wedding dress to me and asked if I would create, with a portion of the train, Leah’s “wedding day getting ready robe”. Isn’t it precious! So stunning!

It is so fun to be at a wedding when you are fortunate to be the bride’s seamstress! To see the living joy wrapped in the dress you worked so hard on is wonderful! Mackenzie was radiant! (But that’s all Mackenzie, even in jeans!) And I don’t even mind being put to work when it’s train bustling time!😍
