This quilt has been a WIP for a number of years and I started quilting it and hated it so I ripped it out and came up with a new plan. I'm liking this much better. I don't usually like to applique on a big quilt, but rarher before the blocks are pieced but I will soldier on. I had these diamond strips and have no idea what they were for but I do love them around the edge. Not sure about the final border yet but I'm loving this new direction. Did you get any quilting done this weekend?

This quilt has been percolating for a number of years. I had started quilting but after doing some very detailed quilting in one of the yellow squares with black thread I hated it. So out of the machine it came to be ripped out and redone. The quilting was so intense that there was no option to rip it out so my choice was to remove the square, backing, batting and replace the yellow square. I finally took the time to do that and last night got it back together. I had help! I tried getting a Pic with out help when it was laying really flat but nope that wasn't happening. Now to decide if I want to add more applique in those squares or call it good and move on to figuring out a new backing and get it in the to be quilted que. We shall see.
