It’s a wrap! After four years of a minimal strawberry crop, we finally hit the jackpot. For two weeks my three youngest and I have lived and breathed strawberries, picking about six hours a day, every other day. We are sore and tired, but in the end we brought over 1000 lbs of strawberry love to our customers. Now… onto the yarn retreat and market. Watch out here I come!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks since I last put up a video on YouTube. We’ve been through severe weather, went on a trip to San Francisco, watched our grapevines wake up and start to open their new leaves, and I even finished four pairs of socks! I hope to put out a video by the end of the week, but until then, a few pictures!

This past winter brought some rough times for me, but out of it came these two new designs, now available on Ravelry and our farm website, fireflyberries.com.

I am proud to introduce the Rough Patch Hat and Cowl. Both are knit using a single strand of DK weight yarn or two strands of fi*****ng weight held together. They feature my version of the knot stitch interspersed with calm stockinette sections. Pattern includes written directions and a video tutorial. Thanks in advance for supporting my small business!
