I have been working on projects in my spare time, but this is what's been keeping me busy. Buckle up, because it's not crochet and it's a long one. But I need your help!
The AlterMage demo is officially live. If you're new here, you probably have no idea what that is. 😂
🧙♂️ AlterMage is the first-person spell-slinging metroidvania game my husband has been developing. Crochet took a backseat while I helped him quit his job and get this thing rolling.
We've been working so hard the last six months to get the demo ready for people to play. I was up until 3am helping finalize posts, videos, ads, the demo itself. I think Justin came to bed around 5am after spending time perfecting parts of the level that we knew needed a little work.
This has been such a crazy year. Quitting your 9-5 to take a risk is scary. There isn't a day that goes by where we're not questioning our sanity. 😅
I am so incredibly proud of the work that Justin has been putting in. I've never been a gamer. I'll watch him and our daughter play and love the time they have together bonding over games. But over the last six months, I've truly come to understand how much hard work, design decisions and math that goes into making a game work...And I watched Justin do it all on his own, right down to the music (which is amazing, FYI). ❤
Sure, I'll send an email or a DM and look over design work, but no one is actually building this beast other than Justin. And if you know my husband, you know it has to be perfect.
💻 If you have a computer, laptop, potato with internet and keyboard - you can play the first hour of our game. Justin specifically made sure the game could be played on the lowest quality laptop we have and it may not be with the highest graphics settings, but you CAN play it on a regular old laptop.
