The COLLECTION is sold at arts and craft shows, festivals, holiday markets and some speciality stores. I’ve been sewing, crocheting and knitting since I was 6 years old. I started a freelance knitwear business in 1991, designing one of a kind hand knitted original sweaters for knitting magazines like VOGUE, McCALL’S and KNITTER’S. I have several published designs that I’m still proud of. Since I a
m a mother of two, I began concentrating on children’s sweaters and launched my first wholesale collection 13 years ago. I created crocheted appliqués to embellish the knitted garments. Later, I used the same added details on tee-shirts and other garments. I have always designed whimsical creations, picked fun and vibrant colors. At one point I had 100 specialty boutiques from around the US featuring my line of kids clothing. As an extension to my business, 8 years ago I decided to start selling
my collection at craft shows and special events, mostly in Manhattan, NY. As I learned more about my customers and my business, I begun focusing
extensively on my animal designs. My best sellers are the dog, monkey, frog, giraffe, and piggy designs, accenting different body styles and colors year after year. My appliqués are designed by me very carefully to create really cute and special characters. (I hand make every sample to be sure to get the perfect result.) Then, the designs are hand crocheted by specialty manufacturers. Once the appliqués are complete, they are hand stitched to the various garments that I have designed. My collection is well recognized for the vibrant solid and tie dyed colors and fun shapes. Through the years I have developed a great relationship with many of my regular customers –who are coming to see me not only from various states but also from different countries! They love and cherish my unique designs and the great quality of the garments. I love what I do, I love dealing with the customers and finding them the items that makes them happy!
