Hi I’m Lyle, the guy behind Rock Hill Threads.

Contrary to popular belief, Rock Hill Threads is not a team of highly trained apparel experts. It’s mostly just one local guy who loves Rock Hill, a born & raised Rock Hillian.

So what does it look like being the man behind the biz? My days are spent working a full-time job (this is just my side gig) and drinking lots of coffee (support local😉) I devote an unhealthy amount of time asking myself “Would people wear this on a t-shirt?”, designing, printing, stocking, marketing, customer servicing, over-thinking, occasionally modeling and trying to spend as much time with my family as possible. Without them there would be no Rock Hill Threads.

The real challenge of running Rock Hill Threads isn’t getting ideas and bringing them to life. It’s telling them to wait their turn.

I am Rock Hill’s self appointed Director of Local Merch. I’m turning hometown pride into my full time personality at this point. 🤣

One year ago, we announced that Rock Hill Threads was opening its space inside The Hickory Post after spending our days at pop-ups and markets around town.

What a year it’s been.

Over the last 12 months, we’ve launched 30+ new items, hundreds of Rock Hill items sold, and learned more lessons than we can count. But what we’re most proud of isn’t the numbers—it’s seeing people proudly wear Rock Hill on their sleeves and hearing the stories behind why they love this city.

The support you’ve shown us has made this journey possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for every customer, share, conversation, and purchase along the way.

We started Rock Hill Threads because we love Rock Hill, and that mission hasn’t changed. As excited as we are about what we’ve accomplished, we truly believe we’re just scratching the surface of what Rock Hill Threads can become.
