The Picky Pineapple Boutique is having a raffle to help support our nephew Joel Dejongh, his wife Meghan DeJongh and their baby Vera. The raffle will be for this beautiful handcrafted in Tennessee flag. $200.00 value. It measures 27" X 49" 🇺🇸 This raffle will run through December 13, 2025. The winner will be contacted by phone. Tickets are $20.00 each and 💯% of raffle sales will go directly to Joel, Meghan and Vera. If not claimed by December 23, 2025 the flag will be donated to Rock Rapids VFW Post 6960. 🚨🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE!! We had a successful sale this past Saturday in Alvord, Iowa. We appreciate everyone that came out to support us which enabled us to help our nephew Joel DeJongh and his family. Joel and Meghan's baby Vera is only 18 months old fighting a rare form of pediatric cancer. They are currently staying in Rochester, MN for Vera's treatments.

With that being said I want to throw out a couple of options.
We still have a nice amount of inventory to sell. IF I have a pop up in my yard (Rock Rapids , Iowa) would anyone be interested? Would an evening OR weekend day be better? My options are
1) You would score some great deals and I clear up space.
2) I take it to Kid 2 Kid and see what they will buy up front and consign the remainder.
3) I take it to Just Between Friends to sell.

I need to make room FAST!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not have time to take pictures or do individual appointments. Everything is on racks and hung up but if enough people aren't interested in a POP UP it will be put in tubs and sold elsewhere. The POP UP would probably be this weekend! Please answer your vote in the comments.

We will have a vendor booth at The Church antique store in Alvord, Iowa during their semi annual flea market. Fifty percent of our profits from this pop up (clothing, shoes, purses and books) will go to Joel DeJongh Meghan DeJongh and baby Vera.

In addition we are having a raffle to help support them further. The raffle will be for this beautiful handcrafted in Tennessee flag. $200.00 value. The Picky Pineapple Boutique will donate 50% of profits from this pop up shop to our great niece Vera and her parents Joel DeJongh (born and raised in Rock Rapids, IA) and Meghan DeJongh (Luverne,MN).

In addition we will be raffling off this hand crafted 27" X 49" flag. (Valued at $200.00.) For each $20.00 donation you will get an entry for a chance to win it!
*100% of the proceeds from the raffle will go to Vera, Joel and Meghan.
*Drawing will be Dec 13, 2025

When Vera was 5 months old she was diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma. She had surgery to remove the mass from her right shoulder in August and October of last year and in July just finished 42 weeks of chemotherapy, but during her August post-treatment scans there was recurrence of the cancer requiring another surgery. Vera and her parents are currently staying in Rochester for 5 weeks of radiation at the Mayo Clinic and starting another round of chemotherapy.

To help them out The Picky Pineapple will donate 50% of our sales that day to Joel, Meghan and baby Vera.

The Picky Pineapple Boutique will be having a POP UP sale on September 27, 2025 at The Church's semi annual flea market. It is located in Alvord Iowa. It is one day only from 9am to 2pm. There will be lots of vendors and food trucks.

Even if you aren't able to attend every like, comment and share (if you are local) helps more than you know.
