Some places in Wyoming never stop taking my breath away. The Wind River Mountains are one of those places. Towering peaks, crystal clear air, and the perfect backdrop for two incredible dogs who looked right at home surrounded by all that beauty.

Boulder Lake at sunset was putting on an incredible show...

Meanwhile, Beau was thinking exactly one thing: "Throw the rock!"

The intense stare, the wet paws, the unwavering focus. I always say the best photos come from letting dogs be themselves, and this one couldn't have been more honest about what was on his mind.

We all know Wyoming weather likes to keep us guessing. This session started with lightning in the distance, shifted to blue skies, rolled into cool clouds and wind, and ended with a beautiful sunset. By the end, the water was glassy, the wind had disappeared, and everything came together perfectly.

These photos were supposed to be a regular family session, but became a "Remember Me" session for sweet Roman.

Roman wanted so badly to run, explore, and play like he always had. His spirit was willing, but his body just couldn't keep up anymore. So instead of focusing on what he couldn't do, we spent our time doing something he still loved.

The moment his mouth touched the water, his eyes lit up. For a little while, he seemed completely at peace, splashing and enjoying every second.

These sessions are never easy, but they are such a gift. They remind us to focus on the joy, the love, and the moments that matter most.

Thank you, Roman and Heidi, for letting me be part of your story all these years.
