For alterations, I did a hem and a bust cup reduction to give her that perfect, secure fit 🙌

This stunning Ellie Wilde rhinestone gown got the perfect custom fit! I added bust darts for a better, more flattering shape—and yes… every single rhinestone had to be placed back by hand (worth it 💎).

Finished with a hem and bustle so she was ready to shine all night!

Can you even tell where the alteration was done? 👀

Prom dress alteration win ✨

This dress needed some major fit adjustments, but instead of doing a more expensive princess seam reduction, I used a different alteration method to give her a beautiful fit while keeping it more budget friendly for my client 👏

Sometimes bridal seamstresses have a few tricks up our sleeves 😉 Love being able to help girls feel amazing in their dress without breaking the bank!

I always mean to take “before” pictures at prom appointments… and then I get distracted by all the sparkles, sequins, and shiny dresses 😅✨

For this dress, I shortened the straps, added more secure hook and eyes on the straps, took the sides in for a snug fit, and added a bustle.

I seriously enjoy all of my prom girls — you are all so sweet, and seeing your reaction when your dress finally fits perfectly is the best part 💖

I made a few simple alterations to make her dress fit perfectly and feel comfortable for the big day — including a hem, adding some bust darts, and closing the slit just a bit.

Have a lovely bride who wanted to see what it would look like if we raised the dress lining up to her natural waist line

So I pinned some fabric and appliqué on her real quick as it’s always easier to make a decision when you can physically see it!
