Today was a full-circle moment, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude.
Walking into the very nursing facility where my mom dedicated over 20 years of her life brought back so many memories. When she didn’t have a babysitter, she would bring me to work with her. I wasn’t just sitting in a corner—I was surrounded by love. The nurses, CNAs, and staff welcomed me with open arms, checked on me throughout the day, and made me feel like I belonged while they cared for their patients.
Growing up in that environment taught me so much. I witnessed compassion, patience, teamwork, dignity, and what it truly means to care for others. I learned the importance of the activities of daily living, serving people with love, and valuing those who often need us the most. Those lessons stayed with me long after I left those halls.
Watching my mom put on her scrubs every day, alongside her coworkers—many of whom became family to me—planted a seed that I didn’t even realize was growing. Today, that seed has become 2D Scrub Supply.
This business is so much more than scrubs. It’s my way of giving back to the healthcare professionals who dedicate their lives to serving others, just like my mom did. The love and support this community has shown our family over the years is something I will never forget.
To everyone who has served at Tarboro Nursing Facility throughout the years, thank you for your unwavering dedication, your compassion, and the incredible care you’ve given to your patients and their families. You inspired a little girl without even knowing it—and today, that inspiration has become my purpose.
