Truly I try to make sure all of my customers are happy, and I honestly feel bad even venting about it..... However, please understand that if I'm given a project and initially told you don't need it back until Fall - then change the plan to a deadline of August 1st - that's not easy to accommodate at this time of year. But it will get done on time I promise you, even if I have to stay late..... Also, when I have charged what I think a project is worth, then get told "But the minimum is ten dollars" and "just throw the receipt away..." Why would the minimum be what is expected? Why would someone think my time and materials used be of so little value? Would you say that to a mechanic or construction worker? ..... ALSO, my hours are posted on the window next to the door of the business. I don't know how better to let them be known. It might seem like I'm closed a lot but I am working about 50 hours during the week right now, and sometimes on the weekends too. - I know the large majority of folks are happy with my work, but days like today (and I've only been open for a half an hour) are sometimes hard to deal with. But, I am grateful for and always keep in mind the 99% of happy clients. Excuse me while I take a few deep breaths, then get back to the grind...😔🙏

I guess there is some confusion going on that I would like to clarify: Yes, I have several wedding dresses in house that I am personally going to be working on, and yes I have cut back hours so that I, just me, am not getting quite so swamped... PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS TO MEAN THAT WE ARE TOO BUSY TO ACCOMMODATE OTHER ALTERATIONS. There is another part time seamstress who works with me who has almost no wait time at all. She doesn't do everything that I do (YET!), but she does a lot and many items are ready for pick up within two weeks, sometimes less. I do apologize for the confusion - it's a tough business to accommodate wedding dates, pageants, proms, and other events, etc, around also doing casual alterations, but we do the best we can, as fast as we can, without sacrificing quality. If you have questions, please ask me directly. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours or less. Thank you for understanding!!

ORIGINAL POST: Ten wedding dresses in the house as of today! 🥰 Wedding dates ranging from July through October. If you're thinking about getting any formal alterations done, come see me as soon as possible. As much as I hate saying no to anyone, this year is looking busier than ever, and it's very possible space and time could be limited, especially for fall (Sept-Oct) weddings. TLDR: New hours: Mon, Thur, Fri: Noon to 6pm...... Due to the incredibly high volume of drop offs since April, we will be closed an extra day during the week. Our new schedule will be Monday, Thursday, and Fridays: Noon to 6pm. I have been doing formals almost non-stop since prom season! It's a good problem to have, so they say, but I need to catch up on everything else as well. Hopefully this will help! Thank you for your understanding and patience!
