Hero Within Hero Within is a lifestyle brand providing subtle, sophisticated and empowering pop culture fashion for the modern fan. Its time to unleash your hero within!

For most of his adult life, Tony Kim has struggled to find fashion solutions that were both geeky and sophisticated. Like Kal-El traveling to Earth as a baby, the journey of interesting nerd apparel has been long and lonely. Then he and Michael Lew began collaborating on a number of fashion projects inspired by Tony's love for the San Diego Comic-Con. By early 2015, it became clear that it was time for something different. Hero Within was born and the conceptual phase began. A great team has formed and Hero Within became official in early 2016. DC superheroes is where it all started with Tony many years ago- so it is an honor to partner with DC Comics™ for the launch of Hero Within's Justice League Collection.

Sadly, we’re missing New York Comic Con this year, but as we celebrate 10 Heroic Years, we can’t help but reflect on how important NYCC has been to our journey.

Our first NYCC was in 2017, and every year since has been filled with wonder, excitement, inspiration—and unforgettable memories. But what we’ll cherish most are the incredible fans we’ve met along the way.

Hero Within simply wouldn’t be where we are today without the love and support we’ve received at NYCC. We’re incredibly grateful for the memories, friendships, and adventures over the years.

We’ll miss you this year, New York. Until next time! 🗽❤️

From pattern to production.
Every Hero Within jacket starts here—with an idea, a pattern, and a whole lot of attention to detail. Watching a design go from sketch to fabric to something you can actually wear never gets old.
Heroes aren’t born. They’re made by hand.
