Today we mourn the loss of an American icon, a beloved philanthropist and a proud 4-H alumna, Dolly Parton. Her extraordinary life was defined not only by her incredible talent, but by her unwavering generosity, compassion and commitment to helping others.

For generations of young people, Dolly embodied what it means to use your gifts in service of others. From her roots in 4-H to her lifelong investment in literacy, education and community, she showed us that true leadership is grounded in humility, kindness, and purpose. As Dolly once said, "storms make trees take deeper roots." 💚

A proud 4-H alumna, she reminded us that challenges can strengthen us and help us grow. That wisdom will continue to inspire young people and communities for generations to come. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and the millions whose lives she touched. Her legacy of hope, generosity, and service will live on. 🍀

A surprised Grandma at the bridal shower said, “Wait, is that my dress?!?” She teared up which is why we love to incorporate the vintage family dresses. Just needed to make this classic dress bigger on the side seams.

I cleaned a 92 year old Grandmother’s dress that a friend of Bride’s help redesign. There was sweat & rust spots on the silk fabric so they tried spot cleaning it 😬 Dry cleaning would not have gotten it clean or taken away the discoloration. I have been hand washing wedding dresses for over 50 years and I have lots of secret cleaning techniques that won’t destroy the very old and very delicate fabric. Please bring vintage dresses to me 1st before drycleaning or experimenting on it 😉.

Another Grandmother’s wedding dress redesign for a Rehearsal dress. All that needs to be done is a panel of fabric added to the side seams. A quick bath tub soak in Borax and it’s white & soft again. Cost $100 if I’m also doing your ceremony dress. $200 if only Rehearsal dress alterations
