Every culture shift has a catalyst.
Drake forever changed the landscape of hip hop with his effortless blend of melody, vulnerability, and top-shelf bars over 40’s “underwater” production. Ten years ago, Drake’s “Nothing Was The Same” perfected this sound, and truly, nothing was the same in music.
After the glory days of the early 2000s, the Sacramento Kings were in desperate need of a culture change. After sixteen torturous years and constant turnover of coaches, players, GMs, and even ownership, the Kings finally received their catalyst. In 2022, Mike Brown became our head coach, and truly, nothing was the same in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Kings are finally putting an end to their historic 16 year playoff drought. With their potent pass-first offense having shades of the early 2000s Kings golden era, the “I FEEL LIKE PEJA” shirt honors today’s “Beam Team” with a nod to our past. Made for those of us that miss “the old Kany-, eh, Kings.”

The number 16 unifies the shirt’s concept. Beloved Kings legend Peja Stojaković wore number 16. The Kings are ending a 16 year playoff drought. And there are 16 bars in a standard rap verse.
