Nuestro primer taller en la tienda de Sacramento fue un éxito rotundo!

La energía fue increíble desde el principio. Esta iniciativa es una forma de promover nuestro arte familiar de alebrijes, acercarnos a la comunidad, conectar con artistas y hacer nuevos amigos.

¡Gracias a todos los que vinieron, niños y adultos, por su entusiasmo por aprender! Sabemos que pintar alebrijes es un desafío, ¡pero con un poco de mezcal, la creatividad fluye! 😉

Our first workshop in the Sacramento shop was a huge success!

The energy was amazing from the start. This initiative is a way to promote our family's alebrije art, get closer to the community, connect with artists, and make new friends.

Thanks to everyone who came, kids and adults, for their enthusiasm for learning! We know painting alebrijes is a challenge, but with a little mezcal, the creativity flows! 😉

As many of you know, we recently opened the doors to our very first physical storefront! But having a space of our own doesn't change our main mission: sharing the knowledge and love for the wonderful art of alebrijes! 🎨

Have you always wanted to create your own alebrije the traditional way? This is your chance! We’ve brought beautiful, hand-carved pieces made from authentic copal wood, native to Oaxaca, ready to come to life with your colors. 🌳✨

Adiós, Dulce Capybara: Un Vuelo hacia un Nuevo Hogar 🧡🌱
Esta mañana, con el corazón un poquito apretado pero lleno de orgullo, me despedí de uno de mis alebrijes favoritos: este hermoso y protector capybara. 🌿✨ Encontró un hogar que cuidar, y aunque sé que ese es su destino, confieso que siempre me cuesta desprenderme de las piezas a las que dedico tanto tiempo y cariño.
Son esas creaciones que, al terminarlas, quieres guardar para siempre. Pero luego recuerdo la alegría de saber que a alguien más le ha robado el corazón, que su magia protegerá un nuevo espacio. Ese sentimiento hace que cada pincelada valga la pena. 🎨💖
Adiós, mi pequeño guardián. Que tu vuelo sea ligero y que lleves mucha luz a tu nueva familia.

Sweet Capybara's Flight to a Guardian Home 🧡🌱
This morning, with a slightly heavy heart but full of pride, I said goodbye to one of my favorite alebrijes: this beautiful, winged guardian. 🌿✨ He found a home to protect, and while I know this is his destiny, I confess it is always hard for me to part with the pieces I dedicate so much time and affection to.
They are those creations you want to keep forever when they are finished. But then I remember the joy of knowing that someone else has had their heart stolen by them, that his magic will protect a new space. That feeling makes every brushstroke worth it. 🎨💖
Farewell, my little capybara friend. May your flight be light, and may you bring much light to your new family.
