PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
SACRAMENTO, CA — August 29, 2026 — The Folsom Blvd Flea Market would like to provide our vendors, customers, and the surrounding community with an update regarding an incident that occurred on Friday, August 28, at approximately 5:16 p.m. Pacific Time.
At approximately that time, an alarm was activated, and management was notified by our security monitoring company. On-site staff became aware of a fire involving the Red Barn area and immediately contacted emergency services by calling 911.
We are deeply grateful for the rapid and professional response of emergency personnel. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, Sacramento Fire Department, and all City and County personnel and agencies involved for their prompt response and assistance.
Most importantly, based on the information available at this time, no injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.
The incident resulted in damage to property and merchandise within the affected area. The full scope of the damage remains under assessment, and management is continuing to evaluate the affected areas. The cause and circumstances surrounding the fire remain under review by the appropriate authorities.
Management is also communicating directly with vendors whose spaces or merchandise may have been affected. We recognize the importance of these businesses and the individuals and families who rely on the marketplace for their livelihood and income.
The Folsom Blvd Flea Market remains committed to communicating with and supporting our vendor community throughout the assessment and recovery process. We will continue working to provide affected vendors with information as it becomes available.
Subject to applicable safety requirements, inspections, and any necessary official clearances, the market anticipates continuing operations in areas that are safe and available for business. Any changes to market operations, hours, or affected areas will be communicated through our official communication channels.
