♻️Ready to help your kid build a sustainable wardrobe?
Here are my 5 favorite pieces to help you get started:
1. Overalls- extremely versatile! Great for playing outdoors and doing general wild animal things 🐒
2. Art Smock- investing in a smock to keep your kids clothes clean & stain free, prolongs the life of their clothes AND allows them let their creativity prosper 🎨
3. Cotton Dress- 100% cotton is one of the more sustainably grown fibers, but it’s also breathable, comfortable, and durable for little bodies. 👗
4. Fav Accessory- instead of buying lots of accessories that just create clutter in your house, invest in one they absolutely 😍 and will wear all the time, be that a hat, purse, or bow 🎀
5. Library Book Bag- reusable bags🛍️ are great for a lot of things, but carrying library books might be my fav sustainable way to use them! It promotes expanding children’s minds through reading AND the sustainable practice of borrowing books 📖✅
*Bonus Top: the best article of clothing for your kid’s ethical wardrobe glow up is🥁… the clothes they already have 👏. My first piece of advice is to always to make use of what you already have.
Even though Dottie & Mae is my business, I will never pressure anyone to purchase for the sake of purchasing. Slowing our consumption as a society is the only way to truly achieve sustainablility ♻️❤️
*however, if you are in need of new kid clothes (aka your child is growing like a w**d 😅) you can find all of these things online at Dottie & Mae, comment below 👇 and I’ll help you get started! 😉
