I figure maybe you should know a little about me so here goes. I am not a one time NICU mom, I'm not a 2 time or even a 3 time NICU mom. Only 2 of my children did not see NICU time. From My second daughter being born at 34 weeks, my 4th born at 33 weeks, My 1st son born at
33 weeks, my 2nd at 35 weeks and my 5th daughter being born at 23 weeks, each spending from 2 weeks to 3.5 months, I have spent my fair share of time in the NICU.. I doesn't matter if it is a few days or months long the NICU and watching your baby struggle is one of the hardest things a parent ever has to do.. Terrified of the telephone every time it rings to not wanting to leave your baby in the hospital because you don't know what will happen in your absence. I have a child with a Craniofacial Syndrome, Another with PVL, Another with PDD-NOS, OCD, ADHD and Autistic Tendencies, Another with ODD, Depression and An Anxiety Disorder and last but not least my Micro. She has a GI Button, O2, BPD, Chronic Lung Disease, FTT and she is not even touching the curve at 4 years old and 23 lbs. So when I say I have "Been there and Done That" you can pretty much guarantee that I have.. I do what I do to help other parents. Yes the babies love the blankets but it really means more to the parent than to the child. I do this because I love to and not because it puts food on the table.. My kids all help in one form or another. This is a family affair. Please feel free to share and add me and please if you have any questions or need advise I am always glad to help where I can.. We will sell a blanket to anyone who wants one and donate back to our local NICU for each one sold. Pass this along and help us help babies (and parents). Lovies 4 Littles Started from wanting to give back. Dec 11, 2008 My daughter Solange was born at 23 weeks gestation. She spent her first 3 months in the NICU at Sutter Memorial. Lovies 4 Littles is a way for me to give back.
