Yolo Community Band will share a sparkling evening of live holiday music for the whole family at the Woodland Opera House on Monday December 23 at 7:00 p.m. “Holiday Magic – Sounds of the Season,” will feature holiday favorites like Dances from the Nutcracker Suite, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Sleigh Ride, some entertaining movie themes from How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Nightmare Before Christmas plus more Christmas classics. For tickets to the December 23 concert, contact the Woodland Opera House Box Office (530) 666-9617 or reserve online at https://www.woodlandoperahouse.org/see-a-show . Tickets will also be available at the box office Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on the day of the performance two hours before show time. Listening to a great concert “Feel The Beat: Disney, Dances and Delights” performed by Yolo Community Band! Young and old alike will enjoy this affordable musical treat, with the opportunity to watch a live instrumental performance in the historic Woodland Opera House setting on Saturday July 8, 4 p.m. The concert will include lively selections from popular Disney classics like Lion King, Aladdin and Encanto as well as other enjoyable music from the concert band literature. Yolo Community Band is a full concert band (from piccolos to tubas!) made up of volunteer amateur and professional musicians from throughout Yolo County, under the musical direction of Michael Loya, band director at Woodland High School.
