It is with a very heavy heart that we share this news with our Wild Time family.
After much thought and many difficult conversations, we have made the decision to close our Safety Harbor and Belleair Bluffs locations. This was not an easy choice, especially after more than 42 years in business and the warm welcome we received from this incredible Safety Harbor community.
Like many small businesses, we faced challenges that simply became too great to overcome. The past couple of years brought multiple hurricanes, rising costs, and an economy that made recovery far more difficult than we ever imagined. Despite the incredible local support — and there was so much of it — the losses were just more than we could absorb.
What we will carry with us is our love for Safety Harbor. The spirit of Safety Harbor Strong is real, and we felt it every day — from neighbors checking in, to customers choosing to shop local, to the encouragement shared through the community since the devastating hurricanes of 2024. That support meant more to us than we can ever properly express.
This is not goodbye to Safety Harbor — just a closing of this chapter. We look forward to staying connected and cheering on this special community for many years to come.
