🎄❄️ With the snow falling, Christmas is right around the corner! Help spread the mission of Operation FireCuffs in your community! 🚔🚒🚑

Operation FireCuffs is a volunteer organization made up of first responders and community partners working together to collect new, unwrapped toys for the children at Golisano Children’s Hospital (formerly UVM Children’s Hospital). These donations go directly to the children who can’t be home this holiday season. 🎁 With this being their 14th year, we hope to make it even more special than ever before!

Golisano Children’s Hopsital serves as the primary Children’s Hospital for our area. Let’s help brighten the holiday season for children from our communities🎄

I finally found the most magical and beautiful place ReMarketVT ✨️ to honor my Mom, Linda Pelkey. Anyone who knew her knew she loved antiques and vintage treasures. She had her own successful eBay store and local barn sales. She and I loved treasure hunting, and her excitement from every awesome find would light ✨️ up the room. It's been a little over four years since my mom passed. All I have wanted was to honor her and share her treasures and mine with others, just like she had always wanted. ReMarketVT is this special place and more; it has many unique, special vendors from our beautiful community. It's a magical space filled with treasures that will brighten even the darkest of days ✨️. On September 11, 2001, FDNY Firefighter Tim Duffy, though off duty, raced into the heart of the chaos on his 2000 Harley-Davidson Super Glide Sport — grabbing his gear from the firehouse and riding through a dust-choked Manhattan street to reach Ground Zero. The image, taken moments after the first tower fell, freezes a surreal moment as he cuts through debris and paper in a haze of destruction.

Shortly after arriving and while helping others to safety, Duffy was buried under rubble when the North Tower collapsed. Remarkably, he survived the collapse and continued his rescue efforts despite the choking dust and chaos.

Duffy’s Harley-Davidson also survived the day. He still rides it to this day and has used it for fundraising and charitable work, including for a charity he founded called “1 Soldier, 1 Dog, 1 Team,” which pairs shelter dogs with veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD.

The story and the image of Tim Duffy on his motorcycle have been featured in various media, including at a 9/11 ceremony at the Harley-Davidson Museum, where it was highlighted as a perfect illustration of the heroic attitude of first responders.
