It’s Monday. Technically closed. But I’m determined to be more magical by September.

Door’s open. Torch is lit… like actually 🔥 check out the bulb we have going.

See, I collect books, and I hoard them like a goblin or a dragon or maybe a troll; it’s unclear which.

This is my personal collection, up in my attic, and I am an absolute trash panda about it.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my books!

But I treat them with rough, tumbled affection. They show the wear and tear of my love. Tea stains. Popcorn smudges. It’s a lot. It’s not for everybody.

If you’re the kind of person who actually treats your books well, if you’re looking to offload some and you’d like them to find homes with people who will cherish them and put them on a shelf like they matter 👀 we’d love to help.

Come consign your books with us. We do the pricing, the shelf space, and the schmoozing. You get a cut when they sell. Let us bear their weight, because we know they are f***ing heavy.

Nothing to see here. 👀

Okay, actually… there’s a lot to see here.

We started the day with a trip to urgent care, just to make sure it was normal wear-and-tear pain and not something new.

Normal dysfunctional body. We’re alright.

Then, a little women-supporting-women trade action and I came home with these lovely sinks.

As some of you may know, I spent a lot of this past winter grieving and moonlighting in a coffee trailer (unrelated), making coffees and lattes while we were closed.

Since then, I went caffeine free and of course, I started playing around with tea lattes and herbal concoctions of my own.

So: Wild Acolytes tea, coming soon. ☕️

We’re currently tasting and building out our own unique blends.

Things are gearing up around here lately. Come see what we’re building, and let us know if you see a couch in need of a home!

There’s more coming than we’ve even had time to post about. Also, posting is hard.

🪬 We’ve got a whole social media plan coming…
we’re gonna be sharing conversations from the shop.

A lot of it’s going to be genuinely esoteric: souls, folklore, different magic systems, all the stuff we actually love talking about here.

But I need everyone to also remember that I am ✨ neurospicy AF ✨

Because sometimes the conversation is like yesterday:

someone says something to me and I go, “is one a taco? I don’t understand.” And they go, “is one a toddler?” And I just completely blink. Is one what? A toddler? A taco? One what? Is one a toddler?

And then it clicks and I go, oh! is one a toddler, like is the age one a toddler? I go, yes? I don’t know though. I had a toddler. But I don’t know what qualifies a toddler right now. I feel like one is still infant, maybe.

Maybe I was wrong. I was just really happy we weren’t talking about a taco being one, because who wants just one taco.

So yeah. We’re going to have the highbrow conversation. We’re also going to have the neurospicy du***ss conversation. Both will happen.

Update: we are in! Got caught in the rain, no pina colada’s sadly. Escape the rain and come hang out. We have lights even if the power goes out 😅

🪵 Calling all IKEA masters… but are you ready for the OG version? 😂

Found this adorable old wooden picnic table in the back of the shop and I have zero idea how it goes together. Ancient-looking instructions, no help from the universe.

Also already slammed my palm adjusting a fan this week and I’m bruised and blistered, so I’ve officially hit my quota for attempting things myself.

Would always rather be reading, but the car cruise crowd was reason enough to put the books down for a few hours.

The shop was busy, the conversations were great, and the sealing wax I’ve been waiting on (for the spell jars) finally arrived. 🕯️

I touched it while it was still wet because, apparently, I have not learned this lesson in thirty some years of being a person with hands. 0/10 do not recommend; would do it again.
